This stained glass panel is based on an album cover by the Rolling Stones. The album is titled Voodoo Lounge and was released in 1994. I chose this image for its striking design and use of colour. The glass used contrasts transparent red and contrasts with opaque black and white. The red, yellow and white sections have all been painted with black paint. Any glass that has been painted then has to be fired in a kiln. Until it is fired it is easy to remove. Once fired it is permanent. Once cut and fired the glass is assembled back into one piece using lead which is then soldered and a thin layer of glass cement applied to ensure the piece is solid. The glass is then cleaned and the lead polished. This piece is also album sized at 30x30cms.As with all stained glass this is best placed in front of a window - the light shining through allows the image to come to life. Price includes UK postage.
